How Can constipation Along With Frequent Urination Be Treated?
Was dehydrated and started drinking lots of water. Have been urinating frequently . Had a fever, chills, muscle and headaches which have since past. Urine is clear now yet still is a little difficult to start and stop. Did not do anything for three days and slowly felt better. Still drinking a lot. Was also constipated which has also passed. Still not feeling good and wondering if I am expecting to much? I basically drink a glass of water and have to go within 10 minutes. Still with a little difficultly and slight pain. Does feel like I have emptied bladder. Thank You
causes of constipation may be decreased bowel motility as in old age, dehydration, intestinal obstruction resulting abdominal distension also, use of opiods etc. depending on cause constipation requires treatment in form of drinking plenty of water, high fibre diet, laxatives may help after physician consultation, surgical management if there is intestinal obstruction etc. increased frequency of urination may be due to urinary tract infection, renal stone, diabetes mellitus, prostate enlargement in men, urinary incontinence due to weakness of pelvic floor muscles and bladder sphincter due to various causes. these require treatment accordingly.
